Read Time:42 Second
Often, when making tea, there is still some water left in the kettle. But can you continue to use it?
In some instances, this is not a good idea. Because the water can contain germs and harmful residues, germs can be killed when the water is boiled. However, germs can form again if the water is stored for a long time or at too low a temperature. Therefore, residual water should not be stored for more than one day and should always be covered.
People with weak immune systems, pregnant women, the elderly, and children should use freshly boiled water. If you want to be safe, you should instead dispose of the residual water in the kettle or reuse it in the household—for example, for watering flowers.
